This fish is the largest fish I've carved, so I had to rough it out with my chain saw!
We decided to carve half a fish, like they did in England in the 1800s and early 1900s.
I hollowed out the back side to further lesson the weight.
The painting process of layering subtle colors and the slow process of scaling. I have learned to put some good music on, relax and enjoy the process.
The finished piece! Although the Salmon appears to be silver, I used almost every color I own to create a soft and natural look.
