This project encompassed an area of 18.5 feet by 8.5 feet and 10 feet high. It included several animals: a Cougar, a Moose, 2 Pine Martens and an Otter. There is a complete habitat of Northern Maine and a mural of a lake and Mount Katahdin rising up in the background.
To begin the project Gene collected an extra large moose skin and antlers. The moose was shot in Byron, Maine by 13 year old Kayla Brown and her Uncle John Brown. They were lucky to acquire the assistance of a skidder to load the moose. This was important because the skin was subject to little abuse and was an excellent candidate for this important project.
